Crazy Weekend…

We went up to San Angelo Friday evening because Adam and Kari are getting married a week from Saturday and Adam wanted Daniel to help him move stuff. So on Saturday Daniel Adam and Miles Moore moved all the stuff from Kari’s to the storage so Adam could come live there after the wedding and bring some of his stuff. After that Daniel, Adam, Me, Miles and Miles wife Jennifer headed with the last load to storage and out eat at Franco’s. On the way there Adam had his window down and was yelling things like hey you what’s up to people outside. I told Daniel you need to roll up his window and lock it and then I heard something hit the side of the car. Adam said, “My phone.” He had dropped his cell out the window I said we need to go get it so we changed lanes and Miles was following in his truck with the couch and stuff. Any way so we pulled into Pop eyes on Bryant and Daniel got out and ran for the phone Miles pulled up and said he ran over it. Daniel found all of the parts and the phone still works all but the camera. Crazy, the moral to the story buy an Audiovox phone if you are going to drop it out the window while driving.
So then we made it to Franco’s and while we were eating an acquaintance of Miles comes in. Miles starts telling us about a few weeks past when he was backing out of his spot at home and this guy comes cutting through the lot to avoid a traffic light and Miles hits him. Not Miles fault because the guy is totally breaking the law. So Miles says he has not talked to him since. Well we are all sitting there enjoying our lunch and great conversation when the dude comes up to Miles and starts up a conversation just to tell him later that he has an estimate and will bring it by Miles house. AS IF MILES SHOULD PAY FOR THE DAMAGE. Even our lunch was crazy.
Then we went and picked up Joe, Daniel and Adam’s dad, to take him to be fitted for a tux for the big day. After that we then go back to his place where Adam sets up his digital camera for him. We stay over there for almost an hour before we take Adam shopping for his wedding present since we decided he could pick it out. Everything is so busy that we don’t get back until like 6:30 or 7pm to the house and we are all too tired to go out so I go to the store and get hamburger fixing and Daniel cooks supper. Daniel and Adam play a little Xbox and then Kari and Adam go to Wal-mart around 10:30 Daniel is tired and took a benadryl and falls asleep during Ocean’s Twelve while Adam and Kari are gone. They get back around 1 at 1:30 Kari tells me that they would really like to make to class in the morning and that after church we will go eat and then go to her wedding shower. Anyway at around 3:30 Kari starts throwing up I check on her and she says it hurts but she feels better and is going back to bed. Well she was not better and was sick all night Adam took her to the emergency room at 7 in the morning. Kari is admitted to the hospital for food poisoning. She stayed over night last night and maybe there again tonight. So all in all it was a crazy weekend.

Ahh it is beautiful

Well the brides bouque for Kari and Adam's wedding is finished and it is awesome we are taking it to Kari tonight. I can not wait to see what Kari thinks.
We were up til late working on flowers and there is still alot to be done.
Kody has his first cold so I am going to take him to the Doc today I just hope that he can help I sure miss my sleep. He is really cute and wearing his Hawaii wear today even though the weather is not appropriate. The picture is side ways but oh well here he is

Freaked out

Well I had a true freak out yesterday. Kody was lying on the couch in his Boppy pillow you know the one that is supposed to keep them from rolling off. Any way he rolled off the couch and hit his head on the table. I was sure he would die of course. Any way he quit crying in like 10 seconds and was so happy for the undivided attention. I on the other hand cried for an hour called my mom she made me feel a little better and I decided that no mom is perfect. This did not change the fact that I truely wanted to be. I walked up to tennis practice to find Daniel and beg his forgiveness. Instead he said Sunni don't worry about it he is fine look at him, but of course this did not help me. Then Sara called ansd after I cried to her told her the whole story she reminded me that kids are resilient and that he and I were both fine. This actually helped and I quit crying Oh well so I survived the big total freak out and Kody does not even have a bruise. Crazy is it not.

Valentine Eve

Man what a night last night Kody was trying a new food it was Gerbers oatmeal pears and cinnamon sound ok right. Well any way about 9pm Kody started throwing a fit and only wanted me this was bad because we were at Grammy's house and Grammy loves to hold him. I was so embarrassed because every time I walked out of the room he screamed bloody murder. Any way sometimes at home he cries until he gets me but it was never this bad. Any way this went on till after 9:30 So I took him to give him a bath. Unlike Kody he even whined and whimpered through the bath. As soon as he got out the screaming continued. Kody screamed and Screamed the only time he quit was when he fell into exhaustion and then when he woke he cried some more. Nothing and no one made him happy. Finally around 12 he was still crying but sleeping every 10 minutes My mom noticed that he was broken out. So then we started to think what had he had today he had not had before the answer was Cinnamon He cried on and off all night and would not take formula at all just cereal or mama milk. He is better today but formula is still out and his face is still red and bumpy. Not to mention a little tired too. All in all it was a very eventful night and one with little sleep so I am here at work working the afternoon instead of the morning.by the way babies are cute but they are gross too. Asta.... Kody Just His 1st community bath

He is sleeping in his own bed at Grammy's house and I am visiting with Jania who is in Alaska. She is a little over 3 months Prego with her second child. Life seems to be going ok she is living in very small cabin that her parents own for while. It is very small and a little rustic I guess is the best way to describe. Her husband will return home sometime in March because he is going to training in Florida.
Kody is really growing.
Jania was just telling me that the coldest it has been is 20 below can you imagine 20 below. She has actually now moved to Base housing in Elmendor, Alaska in a nice house. It takes almost a week to drive to where Jania is. Well this is all for now I will blog more later. Asta.....

Cappaccino Yummm

My pastor's wife is making cappaccino and he brought me a cup. It is exactly what I needed. My office smells great too I really love working here this is the only job I have ever held that I truly love. It is still hard to get up in the morning but coming to work is not the reason. I loved teaching but the politics of school really drove me crazy. Here I just have to do my job and everyone is happy that someone is doing it. It is also great that the rotten boy gets to come with me to work sometimes it is quite a henderance but he is good company and so cute and people come to the office just to see him.
I would venture to say he is the most popular Kody at church nevermind that he is the only Kody.

Well that is all for now except I am going to take a nap today. 3 nights of little sleep are really getting to me I wish teething only happened during the day time. Asta....

Very little sleep

Well last night was a very bad night for the Kody I got him to sleep at 10:30 (miracle) He woke up at 11:30 and I feed and rocked and he went back to sleep. He woke up at 1 feed rocked and back to sleep. He woke up at 2:30 this time feeding and rocking only made him cry he woke his Daddy with this mess at 3am. I tried everything changing the diaper rocking feeding nothing worked at 4am Daniel started Daddy dancing Kody quit crying but this only worked as long as Daniel was dancing. 4:30 Daniel told me to go to bed. At 5:00 Daniel came to bed with out Kody he was finally asleep. We slept til 6:30 when Kody started up again. I went and got him feed and rocked back to sleep the alarm went off at 7:45 and of course woke Kody I rocked him back to sleep then I got up around 8:40 Kody slept til we left for work and woke up when we got here. Any way it was a very long night. Kody has only had one 15 min nap so far today I guess he thinks he is in college and does not need sleep. I just hope he lets me get a nap today I feel sorry for Daniel cause he has to work a full day. I would say we will just go to bed early but that will not work because of the little baby. He has been playing on his tummy and is now tired of that so I will have to go more later. Asta...

24 years old

Well it feels alot like 23 but with a baby. Anyway I had a good b-day Daniel brought me lunch to work and everyone at church sang me happy b-day.

We went to San Angelo this weekend and stayed up to late and got up to late everyday. We saw the Brothers Grimm, good one in my opinion. We played Scene it that was alot of fun as well. Daniel bought me a new ring it looks like this. I also got a manicure since I got a new ring of course.
Kody really likes carrots almost as much as bananas He has gone back to the old school passy since I have lost all of his other ones. It is a amazing how those things go missing. He is a little grouchy and tired today but I am not suprised. Any way it was a good weekend all in all even though my big mouth got me into trouble again and I hurt my sis-in-laws feelings.
Yesterday was busy we came in from San Antonio at 12pm and I made Daniel Sandwiches that he woofed down and then headed off to work. Then I spent the next hour and half trying to get Kody to go to sleep with out a binky, not something I want to do again any time soon. Then Daniel got home and brought me the binky out of the car but it was too late Kody was done with that napping stuff even though he only slept for 1 and 1/2 hours and usually gets a least 2. So then we relaxed for a little while and then rushed out the door to meet everyone for my b-day supper. We went to Casa Falcon in NC they usually have a buffet but it was not on and I thought Daniel was going to pass out or cry but he survived. Kody set with Grammy, Aunt Jo, Aunt Kay and Uncle Joe. He smiled at Aunt Jan while she ate her supper I think he was very well behaved. Until........... the trip home he cried all the way nothing made him happy then he cried from 10:15 til 11 nothing made him happy all in all it was another restless night for me. But we all had a good time and cheese cake so it is all good. more later

Long Time no post

I really don't have a good excuse for not posting. Except that I started a website for our church and started a monthly newsletter as well. So I have been a little busy but both are now up and running and starting from scratch is the hardest part.
Kody is now 4 and 1/2 months old at his 4 month check up he weighed in at 13lb 6 oz and was 2ft 1 inch so he is indeed grown a lot since he was 6 lb 3 oz and 20in long on his birthday. He has started solid foods and he is my boy he loves bananas best so far. He seems to have a sweet tooth even though I still can not see his teeth but I can feel them. His eyes are still blue so keep your fingers crossed I think it is going to last. He slept through the night the other night of course this was only after 3 yes 3 really bad nights and last night was really bad, making up for the one good one you know. He really loves to be kissed and always laughs when you tickle his feet. And finally he is the number1 sleep fighter of the world.
My birthday is tomorrow I will be 24. Why is it that the older you get the less excited you get about your b-day I mean I should just be glad I have made it this far but to me it is just another day no big plans or anything. Sometimes I think I would have made a great Jahovah's witness since I don't celebrate much except the fact that I believe a lot of their beliefs are way off base of course. Any way enough rambling
We are going to go to San Angelo this weekend so stay tuned for more picks of Kody with his family and I will soon post picks of Kody with Papa and his Grammy from our trip to see him last week. I can not wait to see how much my nephews have grown. Devon is a really getting big he is not a little boy any more and Tyler is really getting tall. It is amazing to me that some day that will be Kody that I am watching grow up and stuff. More later

Christmas continues..

We hurried back to the Rock to pick up gifts and church and all that jazz. We were supposed to meet Mom and some sibs in NC to eat lunch with Papa but the restaurant that said they were going to open was closed so we met Mom any way and headed to Vance to visit Granny's grave site. It was really good that we did that and it helped Mom get through the holidays easier. We ate microwave pizzas and some bbq sandwiches. Then went to see Papa to our surprise some of the family came anyway and we all had a very nice visit while eating chocolate layered dessert. We then went to Brackettville where I learned that my mom over did it big time this Christmas. There were enough gifts to surround my Dad as he slept on the floor. It reminded me of when I was little and my grandmother went overboard and gifts trailed out from all 360 degrees of the tree. We all made out like bandits. The following day we had our traditional family meal. I even stayed one extra day to sleep in I got up with Kody and handed him to his Grammy and went back to bed til around 11. Then more family came over and we decided to go to a movie so the 9 of us Mom, JoLee, Des, Daylon, Kody, Me, Daniel, Kitten and Patty went to see Naria in Mom's 15 passenger van. I had already seen it but it is still the best movie I have seen in a very long time. We had a fabulous Christmas except that Kody started teething on Sunday evening and has been pretty cranky about it all.

Wow what a Christmas

What an incredible Christmas. We spent Christmas as we had planned exept that I got Tuesday off as well. Thursday we began Decorating Adam's house since that is where we were going to do our Christmas. When I say we I mean me really on Thursday I put up the Christmas tree with just lights. This was only after we made the trip to Robert Lee to wish Mom (Paula) a one day late birthday. We were in Robert Lee til almost 10pm.
So Then we got up on Friday at around 10am which is the latest I have slept since Kody was born. Slow morning, in which I put another string of lights on the tree and Daniel and Adam played X-box. Kari (Adam's fiance) took Kody shopping with her sister Karla Kay. This made me very nervous but since I had run to get breakfast and Daniel had already said yes I did agree to. Anyway I did a few things to try and stay busy like putting garlend on the windows so that I did not have time to worry. I had just progressed to cleaning the kitchen when Kari came in with Kody he was hungry and wet but very much intact and unharmed. WAY TO GO AUNTIE KARI!!!. Kari then dropped off Kody and picked up Adam and went back to shopping. Daniel and I took our car to walmart to get the oil changed after being there for 1 and half hours they told us they could not change the oil do to the body damage. Talk about irratating. we got back and worked on the house some more Daniel moved the love seat from Adams room and moved the recliner across the living room so that there was just enough seating for everybody. The house still needed more work but Adam called and was bored at subway so we went there for supper. We stayed a little over an hour. We picked up the ham Mom and Louis left in Kari's car and took it home to the fridge. We finally finished decorating, cleaning and vacuming before Adam and Kari even got to the house around 1. Kari and Adam had been over at her place picking up their other gifts and stuff after work and then making a quick stop at walmart.
Saturday morning Merry Christmas eve we were pretty much ready for everyone. I glaazed the Ham in honey and put it on to cook and talked Adam into putting the ornaments on the tree. Joe (daniel's dad came first) then Rebecca Jody and the boys. Finally just before 3pm Mom and Louis showed up and we ate like Kings. After wards we began opening gifts I recieved some bath stuff, a necklace, baked goods, a blanket, and a gift card. I don't remember everyone elses gifts but thank goodness Kody got some teething rings why? well read the next post to find out......

All three 1st cousins

Kody is better but his Daddy is still ill. This is going to be a short blog because I just wanted to share a photo with you. This is a picture of Kody, Desireé and Conner. Desireé and Conner are JoLee and JB’S children Des is 4 and Conner is almost 3 months old he is 20 days younger than Kody. Kody belongs to Daniel and I (Sunni) and he is a little over 3 months old. With out further ado here they are.

Christmas Plans

Well good morning all I hope you are doing well and getting geared up for a great Christmas with family.  We are doing well Kody is doing better at night and is now sleeping in his crib in his own room.  It is a little harder having Kody in his own room since I have to get up and go get him to feed him but oh well I am hoping that soon he won’t want to eat in the middle of the night.  I will keep my fingers crossed.  
So far our Christmas plans are as follows:  Thursday we leave for San Angelo and finish Christmas shopping just a few gifts to buy we had to wait for pay day for.  Friday and Saturday spend time with the Cates family.  On Saturday night head home so that we can attend Church on Christmas morning.  Sunday after church we will travel to Brackettville to spend time with the Joneses.  I am not sure if I get any time off for Christmas because I have not asked but I am going to try to take Monday off to spend time with my parents.  Daniel is out of school and he has every day off until the 3rd unfortunately he is sick and therefore can not play stay at home Daddy.
Kody is talking a lot today he is a little moody as he has been kind of ill as well.   I think it is just a cold because it is not getting any worse except for my sleep deprivation.  Daniel has been a big help though he tries to get up with Kody during the night but sometimes Kody just wants me to feed him.  It is kind of weird that I am in the only one that is not sick at my house. Daniel says it is because I am waiting until Thursday afternoon when I am off work. I hope it is just because I am not going to get sick.  Any way I better get back to work more later.

Kody is snoring

Well it has been a while since my last post since everything has been so busy. Our insurance claim on our car has been denied so I am pretty sad about that since the body shop said it would take about 1800 just to make it pass inspection.
Any way we are going to do our shopping for needy families tomorrow and I am quite excited. This is the highlight of my Christmas every year the little church I grew up in (not quite so little any more) gathers a list of needy families in their community and my mom and I pick a city with a lot of discount stores. It seems like our list grows year but it is so great it feels so good to do for those who can not do for themselves. We buy 3 gifts for each child and most of the families get food for at least one meal as well. It really is a delight to shop for these kids although at times you think I don't know what a 4th grader that lives on a ranch would want. We are going to take a big 15 passenger van with out the seats and make our own package wagon. It may not fly like Santa's Sleigh but at least it will help some unfortunate families.

What a week

Ok so we started this week trying to take care of our car no dice on the weekend. Then on Monday my Aunt that lives in Austin was going to take care of it. Well any way that did not go so well either as my car was a mess and this truly irritated my aunt which I heard all about while trying to work and hold everything together. Our insurance company called and said the other party was blaming us for the accident. We are still paying off this car and do not have full coverage so we may be up the creek in a really bad way. So any way Tuesday rolls around and my best friend calls me and says this is the only day we can see each other before she moves to Alaska. I then make a flying trip to San Antonio to see her and so she could meet Kody. Ok I have to take a break to tell you how cute Kody is right now he is kicking and playing with his Daddy it is so so so cute. Any way back to the story so I meet my friend and her husband is there he is not a horrible guy or anything I just wanted some girl time so I am little disappointed. Anyway it all worked out fine and we still had lots of fun. So I take off home around 10:30am to go home on Wednesday morning because I have play practice at church and some where who knows where along the way I lose that is right lose 60 bucks. That is 60 percent of my weekly income. Anyway so I am thinking that Thursday has got to go better. So on Thursday I go to Brackettville early cause Daniel has a game over there and things are truly go better..... Until... At 9 pm all the lights go out Kody is totally freaking out because he hates the dark. Come to find out the power was out in Del Rio, Brackett, and Comstock. So.... I am just waiting to see what goes wring today hopefully I am over the hump and things will be better today. We are going to a Spurs game my first NBA game. Kody is really talking to his Daddy it is so sweet to hear it really helps to make the week disappear. Bye for now.

What a weekend

We had a car accident on Saturday and although I firmly believe it was the fault of the young guy that drove out in front of us we are still waiting to hear. See we had this accident in Austin and they do not send the police out to check the scene unless someone is injured no report is filed. All this means is that it is now the insurance companys who get to decide who is at fault or if anyone is. That seems kind of crazy since the insurance company are a very biased party in an accident. Oh well Kody did real well he woke up when it happened and went right back to sleep. Any way all in all not a weekend I want to repeat ever. At least no one was hurt.

Oh the joys of work

Today has been one of those days. The copier started running out of toner while printing the bulletin and since I was dealing with Mr. Fussy and not watching the copy machine I had a bunch of half printed bulletins. Any way so I had to reprint so some of them look like double vision. Only my second week of bulletins I have them messed up, oh well. Kody has been really good most of the time except when the copier was messing with me of course. At least I got all the office supplies we needed ordered today even though I did forget to add one item it all worked out. Well I better get back to work.
